Share your skills and knowledge with community leaders we currently work with in Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia. Concern America’s international programs are supported by Field Team Members, paid volunteers who live and work in the communities for a minimum of two years. Personnel of interest are those with backgrounds in nursing, medical doctors, and other experts.

Positions in Need:

Currently, Concern America is looking for Medical Field Volunteers (MD,NP,PA) for our work in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and Riosucio, Colombia. 

Volunteer Requirements

  • Degrees in RN, MD, NP, PA, engineering, or community organizing, depending on position
  • Experience in public health, ER/family practice medicine, nutrition, water/sanitation appropriate technologies, community development or popular education
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Work experience abroad desirable
  • Minimum commitment of two years, there are no short-term internships or assignments

Concern America provides the following for field team members:

  • Housing, round-trip transportation, annual trip home, health insurance
  • Monthly stipend
  • Support services from the home office
