Water

“It’s not about just creating a water system, it’s about everything else that happens in the process.”

Why water?

Access to clean water is lifesaving, improving an entire community’s health while giving them a chance to explore other educational or economic opportunities rather than sourcing, collecting, and purifying water.

Our Approach

We partner with community members to develop their own solutions, lead projects, and build their skills as they maintain water systems, delivering water to isolated regions using appropriate technologies.

Ceramic Filters

Home-based ceramic water filters considerably reduce many of the diseases caused by the consumption of contaminated water.

These certified ceramic water purification filters eliminate bacteria and pathogens by slow filtration.

In addition, the colloidal silver in the cartridge kills all microorganisms that manage to pass through, having a 99.99% disinfection and purification rate.

Community Water Systems

A community water system, constructed of pipelines from the source to storage tanks, moves water directly to each family’s house.

A lack of potable water is life-threatening and affects an entire community.

A community water system benefits multiple families and allows people to seek educational or economic opportunities rather than sourcing and purifying water.

Rainwater Harvesting

A sustainable way to source and harvest water for those living in dry areas with no access to a public water supply.

Rainwater is free and life-sustaining for rural communities.

Harvesting rainwater directly from rooftops and stored in cement reservoirs is an affordable application that is simple to build and helps mitigate water supply problems.

Hello, good afternoon, my name is Arturo Ceballos and I will respond the questionnaire about the ceramic water filter.

Question number one: what model of ceramic filter do I have? I have the water jug model.

2. How long have you been using your filter? We have been using it since May 1st 2019.

3. How often do I do the maintenance? Approximately every 5 or 6 months.

4. How do I do the maintenance of the filter? I empty the water, unglue the filter stone from the water jug, I then clean perfectly all residues of the glue on the jug, and with a tooth brush I clean the filter, scrubbing it well and rinsing it several times. I re-glue the cartridge, preferably with silicone resistant to water and one that’s safe for human consumption. I let it dry before re-using it again. The process usually takes me no more than half of an hour.

What do I like about this filter model? It’s very practical, it’s really easy to care for, it’s very economical, and very easy to use. Also, the results are marvelous, the quality of water is very good, it has no taste, color, or smell. It’s very simple.

6. what difficulties have we had with the filter? None.

7. Would I recommend this filter to other people? Of course, I would, practically for all the same reasons. It’s a very economical method, with very easy maintenance. I don’t know how long a filter lasts, but I know it can last for many years with its proper care. It doesn’t affect the color or taste of the water. It is very easy to apply, and it’s simple, anyone could use this in their home. We usually use it for the kitchen, to consume and prepare our meals. Well, that’s all, thank you and greetings.

The model of filter that we have is the buckets model. We’ve been using our filter for three years. We clean it two times a month. How do we do the maintenance? We use a toothbrush that is exclusively used to clean the water filter stone. To clean the two buckets, we use a sponge that is also exclusively used for cleaning the buckets. I do not use detergent, I have opted for not using it, and it’s really quite easy to do the maintenance. What do we like about the filter? That it is very easy to clean, we do it quite quickly, and we are responsible to maintain it. We like it a lot because at home we use rainwater, and we pass it through the ceramic filter which takes care of the strange after-taste from our water tank which often lingers. When we pass the water through our filter first, that taste disappears, which is why as a family we like it very much. What difficulties have we had with this water purification system? The truth is, we haven’t had any. As a family, we are very pleased to have this water filtration system in our own homes. Would I recommend this system? Of course, I would, the truth is it’s easy to have at home, to do its maintenance is very simple, as a family it has worked very well for us, we are very happy with it, because by having this water filter we no longer have to buy water jugs in this way helping our economy. We no longer have to spend money on purified water jugs, also in our case that we use rain water, it has helped us to remove the nasty taste left from our storage tank, so we are very happy and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The filter that we have is the water jugs model. We’ve been using this product for 5 months. We do its maintenance every 15 days to one month. We clean it by brushing the filter stone. The base we clean with water and soap, the faucet is left to soak in a solution of one liter of water with four drops of chlorine for one hour. We’ve liked using this product very much because it is easy to manipulate, and it’s overall efficiency. Up till now, we have not had any inconveniences. I recommend it to other people for its economical price and durability.

We clean it every 20 days approximately, like is stated in the instructions. I like that it has a lot of capacity, so we have enough water. I haven’t had any difficulties and would recommend it. Actually, I have recommended it because it is very economical, the size gives us plenty of water, and we are very happy with ours.
