We invite you to join Concern America for our 26th Annual Walk Out of Poverty! We will gather for a five-mile walk at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, CA, or you can choose to connect virtually and walk from wherever you are! Funds raised bring trained health care practitioners, education, and clean water systems to impoverished communities in Latin America.

Walk Step-by-Step

1. Register

For those walking with us on April 1 at Mile Square Park: Registration is $10. Children 3 and under walk for free, but must still register! If you register before March 10, your registration includes your Walk t-shirt. Like previous years, our registration will be done through Eventbrite.

For those walking from wherever they are: Registration is free and does NOT include a t-shirt. If you would like a walk t-shirt, there is a cost of $10 per shirt and must be ordered by March 10.

2. Fundraise

We have a new Walk website called Give Lively where you can choose to fundraise as a team or as an individual. If you would rather not create your own team or fundraise on your own, you can choose to give to different teams to help them reach their fundraising goal or simply donate to the Walk Out of Poverty.

3. Walk!

For those of you joining us in person on April 1, arrive at 7am at Holy Spirit Church in Fountain Valley. Check-in, grab a light snack, and pick up your t-shirt! We begin the five-mile walk at 7:30 am.

Walk Where You Are

We invite all participants to do their walks, hikes, games, etc., and take photos to share, as we will be posting throughout the week leading up to the Walk Out of Poverty. You can tag us at @ConcernAmericaInc, use the hashtag #ConcernWalk2023, or email us!

Why do we walk?

Our annual Walk out of Poverty is a chance for our local community to raise awareness, show support, and give to help community members in remote regions in Latin America provide necessities such as health care, clean water, and develop economic opportunities.

Every little bit counts and every donation makes a difference. The average walker raises $100 – enough to provide a person with clean water for 25 years!
